2 Months In Mexico First Month In Mexico
Hey, guys! Guess what? It's been 6 amazing months since we moved to Mexico, and today I want to share with you all the incredible things we have learned during our time here. From the beautiful landscapes to the vibrant culture, Mexico has truly captured our hearts.
Exploring the Marvels of Mexico

One of the things that has impressed us the most is the diversity of Mexico's natural wonders. From stunning coastline views to breathtaking mountain ranges, this country has it all. We have had the opportunity to visit some of the most famous tourist destinations, such as Cancun, Tulum, and Puerto Vallarta, where we were able to witness the beauty of the Mexican beaches firsthand.
Aside from the beaches, Mexico also boasts an impressive array of historical sites. The ancient Mayan ruins, such as Chichen Itza and Tulum, have left us in awe of the incredible architecture and advanced civilization that once inhabited this land. Exploring these ruins has been an enriching experience, allowing us to learn about the fascinating history of Mexico.
Embracing the Mexican Culture

The Mexican culture is as vibrant as the colors you find throughout the country. One aspect we have come to love is the music. From traditional mariachi bands to modern-day pop artists, Mexican music always manages to put a smile on our faces and make us want to dance. We have even picked up a few dance moves ourselves!
Food is another essential part of Mexican culture that we have fully embraced. We now consider ourselves true taco aficionados, having tried countless variations of this delicious dish. Whether it's street tacos filled with marinated pork and topped with fresh cilantro and onions or gourmet tacos with unique ingredients, such as shrimp or octopus, the flavors in Mexico are simply out of this world.
Speaking of flavors, let's not forget about the famous Mexican beverages. We have become quite fond of sipping on refreshing margaritas and savoring the unique taste of tequila. It's incredible to learn about the production process and the different types of agave used to create this iconic Mexican drink.
Getting to Know the Locals
One of the highlights of our time in Mexico has been getting to know the friendly and welcoming locals. Mexicans are known for their warm hospitality and genuine kindness towards visitors. We have made countless new friends who have taught us about their traditions, shared their favorite local spots, and even invited us to festive celebrations.
One experience that stood out to us was attending a traditional Mexican wedding. The ceremony was a beautiful blend of cultural traditions, lively music, and mouthwatering food. It was a truly memorable event that we will cherish forever.
Additionally, the language barrier has not been an issue at all. Although we initially had some concerns about our limited Spanish-speaking ability, we have found that most Mexicans are patient and understanding. They are more than willing to help us communicate and even teach us a few new words and phrases along the way.
The Mexican Heritage
As we have delved deeper into Mexican culture, we have grown to appreciate and respect the rich heritage of this country. From the ancient civilizations that ruled the land to the struggles and achievements of modern-day Mexico, the history is both fascinating and inspiring.
Art plays a significant role in Mexican heritage, and it is evident in the vibrant murals and intricate handicrafts found throughout the country. We have been fortunate enough to witness the Day of the Dead festivities, where the streets come alive with colorful decorations and costumes. It's a truly unique celebration that honours the memory of loved ones who have passed away.
Final Thoughts
Our 6 months in Mexico have been nothing short of incredible. We have discovered the beauty of its landscapes, immersed ourselves in the vibrant culture, made lifelong friends, and gained a deeper understanding and appreciation for Mexico's heritage.
As we continue on this journey, we look forward to exploring more of Mexico's hidden gems, trying new dishes, and learning even more about this extraordinary country. Mexico, you have stolen our hearts, and we are grateful for the experiences and memories we have made here.
Stay tuned for more updates on our adventures as we continue to uncover the magic of Mexico!
